Item Attributes
- Item attributes are the collection of information about an item like lead time & order cost.
- Attributes can be controlled at either the master or the organization level.
- Master level attributes can be entered and updated only by using the Master Item window.
- Organization level attributes can be updated only by using the Organization Item window in each organization that carries the item.
- Attribute table MTL_ITEM_ATTRIBUTES.
Item Defining Attributes
- This attribute identifies the item nature.
For eg:
An item can be defined as Engineering item by designating an item as ‘engineering
item’.
Item Status Attributes
- Status attributes enable/disable the key functionality of an item.
- Status attributes are related to the item defining attributes.
- Status attributes cannot be enabled if you do not set the corresponding item defining attribute to Yes.
If the status attribute Purchasable is set to Yes, you can
put the item on a purchase order.
The status attributes
are related to the item defining attributes. Attribute Controls
Used to control the behavior of an item in different functional areas.
It is controlled at 2 levels:
- Master level control
- Organization level control
- If the attributes are set at Master level then attributes are controlled only at that level.
- If the attributes are set at Organization level then attributes can be controlled at both Master and Organization level.
