Difference Between Receiving and Storage Subinventory

Subinventories

                                  Subinventories are physical or logical separations of material inventory, such as raw inventory, finished goods. All material within an organization is held in a subinventory therefore, you must define at least one subinventory.

Types:

Receiving Subinventory:

  • It is optional.
  • Goods tracking  is possible.
  • It does not reflect  in on hand quantity.
  • Available only of receipt is made usin a mobile device.


Storage Subinventory:

  • It is Mandatory.
  • Goods tracking is possible.
  • On hand quantity is reflected.
