Receipt Routings
Receipt Routing
A
method of simplifying transaction entry by specifying routing steps for
receipts.
For
intransit transfers, you can choose from the following primary receipt
routings:
Standard
receipt, Inspection required, or Direct receipt.
Standard
Receipt
A
receipt routing in which shipments are received into a receiving location and
then
delivered
in a separate transaction. Standard receipts can be inspected or transferred
before
delivery.
Inspection required
Receive this item first, inspect it, then
deliver.
Direct
Receipt
The
receipt of an item directly to its final destination (either directly to the
person who
requested
the item or directly to the final inventory location). It differs from a
standard
receipt
in that it is received into a receiving location and delivered in one
transaction,
rather
than received and delivered in two separate transactions.
